Karl is heading home to Estonia while little Karula seems to be very content staying in the Jordan River Valley area.

There was a conversation over at LK that this may be a new male.  It was felt that because of all the whistling and calling, it is not a female.  ???    It has spent a lot of time today going back and forth working on the nest and appears to be staying the night.

Karl's transmitter stopped sending signals on April 29, but Urmas does not feel that it is anything suspicious.  When Karl arrives, if this is not Kati, there may be another fight for the nest like last year.

Yeah. I saw that. But black storks don't have physical diferences. And the newly arrived started immediatly to repair like it was its nest.
If nothing happened to Karl he will arrive soon (they don't have news from any stork)

And now there are 2 storks in the nest. Mating :O Maybe it's Kati and another male, maybe it's 2 different storks??

Yes, it is hard to count this morning. It seems like the male likes to keep them covered in moss--he keeps bringing more and more.

(I'm never comfortable when there are more than three eggs.)

I don't think that with this male it will be a problem. He is a hard worker. I think that he will want at least 5
