An egg is already broken. I saw it (but didn't manage to make a pic )

Wow, great news.  (I don't seem to have a lot of free time to watch the nest since we brought the puppy home.    )

I'm finishing a report but as they make noise when they get up I try to look

I couldn't see the cam today and in the evening there were already 2

Three this morning.

And in the afternoon the 4th egg had already a "window" with a beak. This couple knows how to program things

And they did it again only 3 storklets

yesterday i looked them, too...they are now so fluffy and sweet and white.....like polar bears....and thought....storks do not eat their storklets at least.....as polar bear mom could do, if they not find eat nothing......

They do… I don't remember which stork was that ate the 2 younger storklets and gave them to eat to the other 3...

It was Donna I think. There was a big fight and some broken eggs and she laid more 2 eggs that hatched several days latter, and then...

On the 19th and 20th May. And the fight was on the 13th April

Oops… Only 2 left. There was a goshawk attack and one of them fell down

The noise they make is really scary
When sleeping they look quite small but there wings are already very large

geesh! if it got one....later it will attack again? goshawk seemed so small...but clever...and got that wanted....hope these two can grow bigger and protect itself better

Now they have more space to avoid the goshawk…
I don't think anybody knows what happened to the falling storklet

The storklets were ringed and have now transmiters. One of the transmiters is the one from Maru that was recovered

thanks for info.....hope that maru's transmitter storklet have better destiny....and uh, still they have so many fuzz on the nest

Both storklets jumped from the nest when they heard someone climbing the tree

Then they were caught and ringed and got the transmitter but the parents didn't like the transmitters and started to beak them (the storklets also).

It seems that now they are used to it

oh...poor ones, they surely remembered earlier attacks, but seems it ended well....maybe this maru's transmitter smelled for maru....and they felt the other bird smell?

I don't think so. Maru had avian fever so the transmitter must have been very well desinfected

But yesterday and today they have been all day very quiet on the nest, only "waking" when one of the parents came with food

of course storklets had not possibility to go to sea....to temper itself as i did (though the seawater was hottest, that i have had experience, still it was 20-21 degrees, today's seawater in kakumäe was 23, but in keila today's hotrecord was even 34 degrees warm

Yes, it's European except Portugal Only near the border with Spain is warmer
