Black Stork Nest Cam 2012

I have been checking this cam address every morning - and OMG what a surprise this morning!!!



The connection went off very quickly so this was all I got. Right now the cam is working somehow but the BS is not there.

Now we can start hoping and praying again that there will be
a couple raising young Black Storks.

I think it is the branch behind him/her. The white is snow on the branch, there was a bit of snow in the morning.

I think they arrived in the beginning and mid of April during the past years. End of March is quite early for sure.

Yes, I also think that this is early for the storks -- they must have gotten word of our sadness about not being able to see piglets this year and hurried back to cheer us! My happiness will be complete when I hear the first cuckoo.

Sweet! It looks like there are more branches in the nest than yesterday.

This is the very same nest as last year but the cam must be situated much lower down - a really good decision!!

I believe that Urmas set the camera a bit lower and raised the solar panel a bit higher above the leaves so the power should be better as well as the view.

Sounds like a clever thing to do !

And today it is even worse.......
The same smow that has covered Southern Finland has covered the BS nest Quite a difference to Africa!

yeah, today i woke up in strange voice: kriips-kraaps, kriips-kraaps; and thought, what the hell it may be! looked from window and saw...all the land was covered with snow and janitor was shovel snow from the boardwalk in early morning then i have a day off

It has been snowing again.... but the BS is in the nest for the night. Hopefully no more snow now!!!

Well, it snowed - a lot.... poor thing....

it is sad to look him there, but after few days weathermen promised to us +10 °C

Wow - sounds very nice!! Our weatherman said this morning that we have to wait one more week.
We will get more snow for a few days first.

This is not fair anymore - my heart is bleeding for this poor bird

Today everything, the bird and nest, looks much better!
