Black Stork Nest Cam 2

I always get uneasy when there are more than three eggs in the nest. I hate to have to see how the unwanted chicks are gotten rid of. I understand that it is a part of nature and must be done, but ......

but maybe they could grow up 4 chicks?
i guess there will be one egg more in that nest.....

4 eggs already - that is why Tiina sits on them.... I have looked many times today and she is always covering the eggs.

Bisky must have special luck to see eggs.... how many did you find during Easter?????????????

Not luck, just the right time zone! She lays her eggs during the night when the screen is dark. When she stands up at daylight to stretch, the eggs are easily seen--and then I can go to bed! (Except last night and tonight when the camera is not working )

And still no cam, at 6 am.

Still 4 eggs - maybe that's it??

Look how the surroundings have changed - everything is green!
And even the nest has a lot of soft, new, green moss!

Woo Hoo! I checked the nest during the afternoon and it was raining with mom sitting and covering the eggs (or eggs and storklets).

Yes, every time I have looked she has been laying down in the nest. Well that is if the cam was been working....

yeah,i read it from leopard darlas forum,as todays bear news,but then i wanted to watch, cam was not working

Three storklets and an egg! I just saw them as the adult was sitting down, so I couldn't snap a good screen shot.

Now my worry begins about the last egg -- hopefully they will be able to raise all four.

I did get a screenshot but quite a blurry one

I got a short video of them - all 3 + the egg.
I also hope they find food enough to feed them.......

The pic is very blurry yes, really hard to see small storklets but sound works fine - I love that sound they make - really sweet!

3 very alert and good looking storklets But is the 4th egg going to hatch???

wasnot donna hatched storklets after 2 days? it mean tomorrow last egg will hatch or.....never...

I dont remember how long it was between egg 3 and 4... but yes, it has to hatch soon or never.

I hope so too.... Maybe it would be more important to help feed these birds than the bears???????? Not that I know how that can be done...

This is the first time ever that I have seen storklets beeing fed..... Yikes !!



Have anyone of you seen the male?? I suppose it is the female in the nest now...

I am so glad to see the little one so lively and eating at least as well as the bigger siblings! At some point I was worried that it wouldn't survive...

The storklets are growing so big!!! Sad that the cam so seldom is working but at least the Pontu-cam seems to be on.

I was thinking the same.... maybe it is moist - that would probably affect both cameras

Yes, I remember this..... but at what age do they ring them?

i dont remember exactly,maybe then storklets are two month age?
