Is it possible to find out what was the atmospheric pressure at that day? That would be interesting

Re: Grey Seal webcam
Thanks
The pressure was quite normal. It must has been the wind (30,8 m/s = 111 km/h): as the Baltic is not so deep the levels go up and down much more.
Well, I will have to keep that in mind if I do some project for Baltic coast line
There is a call going on for the Maritime Spatial Planning on Baltic Sea

but I'm not going to enter...

Re: Grey Seal webcam
Any of you can find out what is going on?
A moose broke the ice and felt on the water. I saw it during at least half an hour trying to get out. It seems that there is a rescue team and they turned of the cam!!!
Is that right?
http://www.looduskalender.ee/node/6555
Päästeoperatsiooni ajaks on kaamera välja lülitatud.

Re: Grey Seal webcam
Yesterday snowed in Saaremaa ten centimeters of fresh snow off .
In the morning, when the cam to work we had seen fresh traces of fox, and foxes have been there. Shortly after noon on the ice moved into one moose, one of which remained in the water is pretty bad stories.
Men of environmental defense reached the quarter of an hour ago, to the sea. Operational time of the camera is turned off.

Re: Grey Seal webcam
itsfrom delfi.ee quick translate, sorry for mistakes
Today in the morning, recorded Looduskalender.ee seal cam's tragic incident that may lead to: two young elk walked along the western part of Saaremaa with no bad presage on fres ice and crash into it.
"resque operation closed at 14.40. One of the elk was able to climb out immediately, however, seeing the people, the second animal went to a second longer," said the leader Gennady Looduskalender.ee Skromnov Delfile. Skromnovi said that the cause of the accident the night off snowed 10 cm snow, which concealed the ice was thin places.
"Our findings fox track's on the snow covering the ground in front of the ice - young animals went to the same path," explained Skromnov, who said for the animals are fox track's good indicator of whether the ice is worth trust. "Fox is a very cautious and conservative nature, as it is shown that fox track's go off the ice, does not pay to go there immediately."
Skromnov said it was the same place a few days ago, totally free of ice. Side of things could have been a tragic turn, however, because the site does not extend to the animal feet north. "As such, the animals are much more resistant than humans. actual temperature of the water is warmer than outside, and elk may be water for two or three hours to withstand," said Skomnov, who said after this time can be an animal fateful already wet fur coat, and ice-free.
"This case led us to think about themselves - in fact, isn 't know how many animals may be in the winter sank. If an animal collapses through the ice, then return to the ice a couple of hours and maybe skeleton found in the spring. It is good that in some places, however, we have cameras, and it also makes us think about such incidents against. "

Re: Grey Seal webcam
oeh, netmaster talking about this absolutely the other story:
"moose got out by itself at 14:42. He was very weak, and almost fall over and was laying there about 40 minutes. At 15:22, he rises again, and left slowly toward the shore. Rescuers did not arrived there before moose was already left (if they arrived at all, don't know). I have zoomed pictures about event, hope some people at Looduskalender write detailed story and post them somewhere."
