A raccoon dog passed by but I couldn't make a clip :(
What are those "stones" in the feeding ground?

I just missed capturing the raccoon dog also! The "stone" is, I think, a clump of grain all stuck together.

In Austria my neighbour had a farm and often he went to Insbruck to
a brewery where he got the stuff that remains after it is pressed out for ao beer..or other products, ( lemonade: the fruits, from a mill he got the skin of grains etc.).
It is good for animals and most of them like to eat it. For making marmelade they use fruits and those rests of the fruits also can be fed
to the cattle.
Ricky, is the name in Austria: Trester??

Re: Boars cam, winter 2012 - 2013
This is a pic from 31.1.2013..at that time we began to call him Punky
and somewhat later it was Hobble.
His right fore leg was always bend and he almost never touched the
ground with it. But a wound could not be seen, nor was it swollen.
He mostly was in a small group, sometimes with an enormous boar that never quarreled with him but with other smaller ones.
I think this could be Hobble, there is not really missing a part of the leg
like the other wounded one, 3 (Tripod) has. A quarter of Tripod's foot seems to have
fallen off after it was terrible swollen for some time.
In my next life I'll be vet or fairy-tale-teller! (for grown ups only).

It is amazing how well the pigs adapt to their handicaps.

Adult female Great Spotted Woodpeckers have no red colour at the neck - but female Black Woodpeckers have.
