Re: Black Stork Camera Lovers
I cannot post any pics after all
My computer went nuts after a short power cut. It would not even let me on internet.... The pics were not saved, just copied onto my picture program work space - so.. bye bye to all of them GRRRRRR!!!!
Thank you all for posting pics - now I don't feel so bad anymore.
The LK members are not at all thrilled about this LSE couple....
I find it sort of funny - and who knows what happends IF a BS decides to start nesting here.....

But, Ergee, you still get birthday greetings from the LK members -- they love you over there and they ignore the rest of us!

Uh oh ergee!!! That was a bad post
But they just jumped over it
Now what do you say about this video?? What is going on??
On LK they seem to think it is odd behavior, threath or similar...
When I saw it I immediately thought of courting display. I think these are quite young birds, probably just met.

Re: Black Stork Camera Lovers
In Germany there has been a pair of males for the last two years. They have been named Sigfried and Roy.
(As long as I am off-topic, are you stork lovers aware of the websites given below? The homepage gives webcam sites and keeps track of the eggs and hatchings:

The website is in German, but a Google toolbar will translate the webpages to the language of your choice.

BSLSE is in the nest.
09:58
The male arrived. They were cleaning up together in the "flat".
The male did not stay in the nest for a long time, and the female took delight in the view.
10:10
She flew away, but is yet near.

The nest starts to look loke a LSE nest now, they have been working hard!!
But why is there not anyone there now (or elsewhere for that matter...) when the kids are napping and I sit here by Crista's puter drinking coffee??? Mr Murphy is involved, I think

Cuckoo?? The LSE occupied the nest of the BS. Should the Cuckoo want this nest now? Will be this a BSLSEC nest? What will happen yet?caysa wrote:A Cuckoo is going mad somewhere near the cam

The female ( I think....) has either flees or then she is very particular about her cleanliness
She went on and on and on preening herself, a very agile bird indeed!!

Lonely bird, seems to enjoy the little birds singing.
And I hate the eternally calling cuckoo.. (and how I miss the wolf...).

Re: Black Stork Camera Lovers
I actually like the cuckoo, we don't have THAT many here
I am glad that the LSE has visitied the nest, I wasnt able to watch cams at all yesterday.
And yeah, its sad about the BG cam - but I think the chance of us getting to see the wolf again was quite small anyway - so I try not to take it too hard

Re: Black Stork Camera Lovers
Please look at LK Black storks...
A Stork visited the nest but the lse. chased it.
There is a video..
At ct 11.58 a heard a Stork coming and making his clear and not to forget Stork sound... No pic possible..it showed not up but must have been on a branch, very close to the nest.
Something is going on there...
