Re: Good Morning!
Hello everyone
I have just arrived home from a 4 day long Sweden trip. We attended a marriage and a christning and I was the one in charge of the catering. It has taken a lot of planning and time but all turned out good in the end - even tho the last 30 minutes before the ceremony started in the church were really quite scary...... Juha was driving and among other things we had 3 wedding cakes (made by me) in the back of the car. The roads in the countryside are small and theres cows and horses in the fields everywhere..... We were supposed to take the cakes to the venue, a house opposite to the church, in time for us to join the service.... hmmm... suddenly, 2 calves jumped up from a ditch onto the road. right in front of the car. Juha was standing on the brakes to avoid hitting the calves. He jumped out to see that the calves were ok. I was in shock in the car - I was absolutely sure that the cakes are one big mess now . I did not want to look even! Finally we had calmed down enough to drive on but now it was too late to do anything else than hurry to the church. It was really lovely and beautiful and the eye makeup that I had put on with great effort (I seldom use makeup) was washed away by happy tears!
When the ceremony was over and we moved to the house across the road we took the cakes in. I was sooooo nervous when I opened the boxex... but , they had survived the accident just fine. PHEW...
Anyway - here I am again

Yes, I saw that a common friend had posted pics of the cakes when we checked them in kitchen after the accident. Those white boxes need a reward, they really saved the cakes!Bisky wrote:Welcome back! Are those the cakes that are on Facebook? You are a very talented lady.
Let's see if I can get the pics here....

Re: Good Morning!
Thanks Ally
But no, no cake shops.... It is fun to make cakes sometimes but even these 3 were about to hit my limit. It became like a cake factory and then it is not so fun anymore.

Re: Good Morning!
Finally it seems that we have a proper internet connection again.
After weeks of struggling and many calls to the repair guys we (well mostly ME as Juha can use his phone and iPad with wireless internet) I was about to lose it. The repair guys said that they cannot find anything wrong with the air cables.... Somehow we did not believe this as we have already seen how badly the cables are hanged in some places. Finally Juha took his skis and started trace the fault himself. First thing he noticed was that no one had been out there - no tracks of man or skis. Not long there after, where the cable was almost hidden in bushes, he noticed several spots of corrugation. The cable hardly was in one piece anymore - how on earth could internet work??? GRRR!!
The repair boss recieved the call and got exact instructions on where to start replace the cable! The guys where out there in the cold all weekend and replaced almost 1km of cable and now it seems that I have a working internet again Feels good to be able to post something this long after weeks of short inputs on Facebook only
