Some minutes ago I was wondering why the black stork was pecking the nest. It is confirmed


And they are still "preparing" the other eggs

And the Estonians have two eggs just like the Latvians!

It is the same pattern as in Portugal: one egg each 2 days. Maybe there will be more one or two

storks was very quick, if female arrived-they started immediately

5 eggs!!!!

In 2 weeks the little storks will show up

Oh dear, I get a little nervous about the eventual outcome when there are that many eggs and they all hatch.

Thanks, Garina, for posting.  It seems like any time I take a look, one of the adults is sitting on the eggs, so I had no idea there were now more than three.  I'll have to mark my calendar for the two week hatching date.  

I also have not yet heard a cuckoo singing -- is it too early in the season or have I just had bad timing when checking in?

I usually have the cam on (and also the one of the griffon vultures) on the left side of the screen so it is easier to capture them.
If I remember it's near 38 to 40 days to hatching. They had the first egg on the 12 but usually they don't stay on the nest on the first days in order that the chicks hatch with closer intervals, so maybe on the 20th May there will be chicks (maybe before )

The birds do a lot of noise so I usually have the sound down but I don't remember having heard the cuckoo (after a while it's rather stressing )

if i remember right then cuckoos will arrive on the violets time...yesterday i did forest trip and saw only yellow and white anemones.........it's takes littlebit time more )

The LK forum has pictures. I have yet to see the adult stand up.

The BS stand-up just now but I didn't understood if it was one or 2. But there are 2 eggs outside the nest maybe it's 2 shelters

It's funny. They changed and the newly arrived put the broken shelter outside the nest, changed the place of several branches and "repaired" all the fluffy staff of the nest
