Osprey nests

I have been watching this nest because I did find it interseting that the male was equipped with a sender so it was possible to watch his return to Ilmatsalu. Yesterday he was only about 40 kms away and today he landed in the nest
He has been called Ilmari and as far as I know he used this nest last year and had a mate there too. This is the first season with the camera watch. I have twice seen a Osprey in the nest during the last week, so I assume it was the female. At least it did not take ling for her to arrive after Ilmari came. They obiously know each other - there was not much "foreplay" when Ilmari decided to mate I have not had time to read on LK about this pair, maybe they have named the female too??

I found this nest 1,5 years ago. Past winter Kotkaklubi mans maked new - artifical nest for them as original was on too weak dead tree and they added camera there allso. I found that nest because of collared raccoons
