He looks like a KING on that golden blanket
I think he is going to be ok - it just takes time for everything to heal.

Good news! It will take time for Spikey to feel completely well again. At least there seems to be some improvement; and he is well enough to spend time with you.
Has he tried his diet dry food mixed with a little warm chicken broth? That seemed to work for Cooper when he was not eating his dry food some months ago.

Re: Where is OPHIOPHAGUS???
Good evening Bisky,
Yesterday I've heard that Spikey seemed to be not so well like on Sunday..
he seemed to feel pain, did not want to walk and only was lying there
and looked sad..
This afternoon he was at L's home and I've seen him there. Not too
bad I would say, J came there too and told A got a phone call from the clinic, it now is sure that Spikey has a lingering inflammation of the liver...he is going to get prednison now and the painkiller.
What the right diet now is I don't know yet. Will ask them. I hope he
does not get to much stuff he should not get, like cookies etc. That
might be very important I guess!
On December first, (almost now Dutch time..15 minutes) he can
celebrate his 10 th birthday!! Good old Spikey!
I hope he will have still a good time with his bosses, he really is
a cute dog!

Re: Where is OPHIOPHAGUS???
New born polarbears in Ouwehand Dierenpark in the Netherlands.
http://www.ouwehand.nl/Basis.aspx?
There should be 2 video's, but here I only can find 1.
Maybe you are more succesful than I...
NB: Click on:" Lees meer " under: Hoera er is een ijsbeertweeling geboren...
Hurray, polarbear twins have been born...
then you can see both video's...
(i hope, 2nd is the most interesting I think).

Amazing!!!
So small cubs - and such a big mother - hard to understand that she can be so gentle with them.
Thank you for this, ergee

polarbears in captivity seems to be a "small wonder" too!
Ouwehand is a very large and animal-friendly garden.... (as much as possible..)

What a magnificent looking dog! Please give Sam's owner my sympathy--it is so difficult to loose a close companion of many years.

Re: Where is OPHIOPHAGUS???
Sam's mum and dad would like to thank everyone for their condolences and their kind words about Sam.
Sam was very intelligent and loved meeting people, he was always full of fun and never a problem. He will be very sadly missed by many. We go to Belgium every year to see our family and always took Sam with us in the car and this year we will miss him greatly.
Regards,
Sam's Mum and Dad.

Re: Where is OPHIOPHAGUS???
We are all well--only a small thunderstorm here. There were terrible blizzards north of us, and the picture above of the tornado damage was a couple of hours south of our home. There were six people killed there -- the tornado hit around 5:00 in the morning while it was still dark and people were asleep. It was a small town with no warning sirens. We are quite lucky here--even though we live in the country, we can easily hear the tornado sirens' loud warning.
Thanks for your worry.

Re: Where is OPHIOPHAGUS???
As we are such an international "Family" and interested in animals, wherever on the world, now a bit sad news and a demand for help, out of New Zealand:
IP Chief Inspector Caysa, what do You think: Suicide or murder? Do you believe
in an ordinary accident? ( "Forbidden drunken grazing in the darkness" or "Too high
speedness while grazing").
Or can Ricky give us some indications concerning "Poaching" .
Treenz, do you happen to have been a witness and do you know more about
this case?
Could international jealousy be a motif? Second oldest sheep, in Australia, wanting to be famous eldest sheep now?? Waiting for years already to get a "Sheepstar" ...
and urgently wanting to sell more screensavers with her own picture at last!!
Ophi, with all your international connections, can you tell us more?
Our intelligence service will treat all information as "Confidential", so please, help
IP to find the reason of this tragic mystery.

Re: Where is OPHIOPHAGUS???
Strange...the chupacabra also killed more sheep, because Twiggy
had a black head.
The monster could also be a mass murderer.
We will have to wait what Treenz and Caysa can tell us! And, of course of a message of our secret weapon: undercover detective Ricky!
In our records we found this picture of a member of another chupacabra-gang,
conspiring with the gang of murderers, welknown to Chief Intendant Ophi. (See the picture he sent.)
A NZ sheepherd mailed us that in the grass where Twiggy has been seen, grazing during the last days of her life, strange footprints have been found...and strange stuff...a kind of dried herbes, like powder: could be, until now unknown raw material to make drugs of. Also not yet known is whether chupacabras use or spread narcotics made of herbs.
Stay watchful and inform IP about abnormal behaviour you might notice and check
unknown strangers!
Do not endanger yourself or innocent creatures!
