Re: FUNNY TOPIC
I did not take these pics myself!!
I´m actually quite sure that both pics were taken in Germany
- Woolworth is a German company.
- In Austria there is no "Pfand" (deposit) for plastic bottles.

Two men were out fishing at see outside Hamina, a town by the Finnish Gulf some 30 kms from the Russian border. Suddenly they saw THIS:
The boar was swimming happily to the next island a few hundres meters away. Can you imagine how the fishermen felt

Re: FUNNY TOPIC
The picture of the dead doe with a piece of wood between her teeth
reminded me of the book of Rien Poortvliet about the gnomes...
What a pity that I cannot send you all that book in your own language...
It is translated into English and as far as I know even in Eesti or Finnish....
Such a pity that I never heard about gnomes in the Austrian mountains..they could have helped the above mentioned doe....
Here the good gnome is removing hornets out of the throat of a deer.
When there is not enough food he takes care of that...
He even helps the deer to get their antlers free after sparring
This was quite a hard job: pedicure ...the nails were much too long to
walk without pain
and this was soooo sweet...feeding Mait's mouse!
Caysa...how nice it would be for you: the grandchildren sitting all around you and you read aloud and show them the drawings from this book!
You can learn everything about the gnomes, life, work, how many children, how tall they are
etc.etc.

Re: FUNNY TOPIC
Hello Bisky, yes I agree with you...books from years ago that are
still interesting and really can tell you so many things that still
are true....
Not only telling about gnomes but how also people could help each
other..and when you tell kids about gnomes it might be easier to
teach them some important things...
Have you ever looked in a bookshop for books of Rien Poortvliet?
Might be too late now...but on internet you might find his name
and works...

Re: FUNNY TOPIC
Half an hour???? Here it happens must faster!
Wanted to roast some marrons (edible chestnuts)...put them
in a frying pan and that pan on the fire...just for a second I went to
the pc to post something into LLL...
When I came back there was only black ashes... I thought I only left
them some minutes.....maybe it was longer???

Oh boy - when I watch people around me, like Juha and Crista and Anna and..... They all have smartphones. But I have never heard so much cursing when someone in a hurry is trying to do something with them
And seriously - I am not sure that I could call 112 without help
I love my "simple dumb phone" and I prefer to use my powerful oldfashioned PC.....
I know - I am old when I don't like to use laptops and I-pads when I have access to a stable cable internet......

Re: FUNNY TOPIC
The bad thing is that I cannot read anything without my reading glasses... and when I need to call 112 I probably don't have time to find my glasses.
On my own phone I know where all buttons are
I am definately too old
