Maybe some of you remember this story that I wrote in the LK Wild Boar forum in the beginning of April 2009.
It happened in August 2008 in Brandenburg:

But there was another thing with a Black Woodpecker. At that time I was "testing" a little intrument which should make it possible to imitate jays´ warning calls. But the jays didn´t take any notice of it. So I dicided to test onter animals´ reactions. On that summer morning I was in a hide in a pine forest when the woodpecker landed on a pine. I called with my "instrument" and the WP listened very attentively. Then it turned its head and pressed his "ear" on the bark of the pine so that it seemed that it listened to that sounds INSIDE the tree. The WP seemed really confused. "What a strange animal is there calling in MY tree?". I couldn´t stop me from laughing and as a result the wild boar that had just appeared (and I noticed it too late) escaped...

On this very day another funny thing happened:
I went to a bakery in order to buy some cake. While the baker was wrapping the cake she asked me: "Do you want to to take the cake with you?" I should have answered: "No, I just paid for it. You can keep it." FUNNY TOPIC - Page 9 912946

I don´t know why she asked that, most probably she was not used to customers that take the things that they have bought with them. Laughing

Hehehe, maybe she thought that you would eat it there and then???
You probably would enjoy opening the wrapping and start eating it in the shop lol!

icicic, i can imaging this WP story , how confused it can be lol!

and it happend, that people so often talk not very clearly,maybe there was one possibility more...like eat this cake there...but probably she not noticed to say it lol!

Well, my friend had asked me to go and fetch the cake for teatime. So if the baker might have thought that I wanted to eat the amount for 3 persons there and then it´s even worse... FUNNY TOPIC - Page 9 912946

Hi Ricky, was the lady in the bakery blond or has she worked before in a fish and chips shop where people can decide to eat the food there or take it home to eat it later? Or did she get nervous because there was such an elegant, charming man in her shop??

I don´t remember the hair colour for sure, but I think it was blonde indeed. Laughing
