In the shadow it was probably something like 25°C. But as there hardly was any shadow it was around 40°C in the sun (at least around noon). Luckily it was cooler in the morning and in the evening... At nighttime we had temperatures around 13°C...

Nothing
It did not feel that hot because it was a bit windy. But it was still too hot to do anything apart of eating, sleeping and scanning the opposite slope for animals...

Actually he wanted to phone yesterday but he has not until now, so we are not sure what ecatly is going on...

No no, he will not get any advice without paying.
It just seems that he is very happy and grateful about his money getting more and more without working Seems that he did not quite understand that this is our job.
Or does he also visit employees of supermarkets because he is grateful that he gets groceries there??

Now he phoned and said that he´s going to arrive tomorrow. He started from a town close to Berlin by TRAIN and went to southern Bavaria. From there he went on by BIKE... And the weather during the past days has really not been nice for cyclists...

Our "funny job" is to find a proper hotel within that time (most hotels don´t have free rooms now)...

We actually had. At least we survided... And even his daughter joined him on his bike trip
But quite the 1st question was the following: "If I make profit another person loses money. And I feel sorry for the people that lose money. What do you think about that ethical question?" Now what to answer to that?? It is impossible that everybody makes profit and nobody loses anything (that´s the same with life - animals/plant need to die in order to make other animals´/plants´ life possible), so you only can decide if you want to be among the "winners" or the "losers". Well, he did not quite understand that and still felt sorry and wants to give most of the money he earns by his investments to charity... It does not seem very clever to spend money on giving money to someone els
And we also started to talk about hunting: Both his daugher and he knew that hunting is necessary but they said they would not like hunting trophies or photos of the shot animals as that would show that the hunter was happy about his success. Well, do they seriously expect that hunters are happy if hunting was NOT successful. But if hunting was successful the hunter probably is VERY said and whining for hours?? Seems that they think hunters to be quite stupid as hunters like to be sad
Well, but that was all. The rest of the evening was normal.

One more funny thing I have to mention:
That client has 3 sons (and 2 daughters), and 2 them have a funny combination of names - Nikolaus (= Saint Nicholas) and Ruprecht (= Saint Nichola´s helper)

Re: Ricky´s hut
Oh boy, must have been quite an evening!
Sometimes it is hard to deal with such idealists.... They do not necessary see beyond their own noses. Their ideals are very nice and conciderate but will not really work in reality.
I have a friend who's daughter became vegetarian. Well, ok so far.... but.... when she started to talk about how all living things have souls, plants too.... then it became a real issue!!
She refused to eat vegetables too!!
At this point they took her to see a specialist and thankfully she recovered before it got too bad....
It really was all about the same thing, someone needs to give way for someone else....

if she tried to negotiate with the soul of plants, she would have heard that the plants are happy when they get into our food, because it is their responsibility after all.
good to know that your daughter got help!

Re: Ricky´s hut
Today the client´s daughter wanted to see Marmots. (Actually both are quite interested in nature) As we know a spot where Marmots are not shy at all (because there are really many tourist each day, so they are used to people) we went there. They love cookies
4 hungry Marmots and a "half" client
Alpine Chough
and a blue butterfly
Now they went shopping in Lienz (I hate shopping )
