I was actually planning pay a visit to the Chamois on the weekend. The weather forecast for the area where I wanted to go predicts minimum temperatures of -20°C I`m not too fond of this weather - especially because I don´t feel completely healthy these days...

And ergee - If THAT Ilmatsalu weather will not get the camera up and running - then they better come up with a new explanation - and quickly!!!

The blizzard here has been horrible - the wind is roaring and the snow is not falling - it is blowing horizontally HELP!!!

estonia had whole night and day snowstorm, but this snow was strange-not large snowflakes,but littlelittle snowballs.but now snow is everywhere.
few days ago i saw okaskera was visited our forum,maybe it mean something??? maybe cam is already arrived ilmatsalu?

I´m quite sure that the cam won´t start within the next 2 weeks. Not even the eagle feeding cam has started yet... But of course I hope that it will start as soon as possible...

I was planning to go to the same area where I went in October to experience Red Deer´s mating season - South Tyrol, Vinschgau valley.

In Austria I mainly know the area around the Großglockner (Austrias highest mountain) and the 2 hunting areas in which I hunted in the past. In the other areas that I really know there are hardly any Chamois. The Großglockner area is hard to enter at this time of the year. And in the hunting areas I might meet the HA owner which I don´t want.

That´s the weather forecast for a village in Vinschgau valley. The area where I want(ed) to go is about 1000m of altitude above that village. Averagely the temperature decreases 0,7°C per 100m of altitude. So you must add -7°C to the temperatures of the forecast.

I´m not so sure about that. Especially now - it´s Chamois´s mating season which is quite the most important part of Chamois hunting.

of course he is there, but he can be invisible;)and as he could be go out suddenly- like you often said,then he surely are invisible,then he not want meet someone...

Quite the same actually goes the other HA where I had been hunting 2 years ago - there was a different HA owner of course but behaving in a similar way. I remember that I once - after a successful hunt - spotted an odd colour behind a young spruce less than 50m next to me. When looking through my bincoculars I recognized the HA owner hiding there and watching my doings That was not the only unpleasant happening with that HA owner...
But of course only some HA owners are like that - I´ve only had bad luck that I met 2 of the evil sort...

I just looked at the outside thermometer, it shows -18C, quite cold for November. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Thankfully there is almost no wind.

It would be a good day to defrost the freezer (hmmm, maybe I should??)
