What does "broken" mean, the big machine, the bad weather with lots
of wind, or a fairy tale?
It has been an interesting season, but the way how it ends is a bit ...disappointing..
(not the animals!).

Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. A big thank you to Okaskera and all who helped keep it going this long.

Yes, many many thanks to Okaskera and Mait for their (almost) daily
work and all the time they spent on doing all this.
And also for keeping us informed as far as possible! Wish you all
the best and hope to see pictures from Okaskera, made in the hide
or where ever!

yesterday we found out, what happened with first group of boars under camera past season. You remember first group of boars that left fedingplace because of wolves. It seems that they mooved to other place and crossed Ilmatsalu river. As ice was not strong enough, they feld in. Couple of days later we found 1 piglet there in ice hole. We thought that others got out. But now the ice melted and all others was just under ice. Yesterday we with Mait and Riho pulled 7 of them out from river. It was herd with 2 females, 5 piglets and 1 (kesik) not piglet and not grown up yet. So thats why place was emty sooo long and they never returned...

Poor animals..even with two clever and experienced femals that kind of dramas can happen.
Thanks to you we now know what happened to them.
So the wolves are not responsible for their death but "nature".
They must have stayed rather close together when they tried to
cross the river and drowned.

But there place was soon occupied by other boars, will there be
more room for more pigs now or more piglets been born?

Very kind that you let us know this, did you make pics of the place on the river where you and Mait have found them??

Are wild pigs showing natural camera will still work?

Does near Tartu boar camera will soon be operational? Winter push almost by force, but about successful boar-TV nothing to hear still?
Corresponds to the natural carrying cameras over the network EENet Department Urmas Lett: Set the TV, where you can access it, still putting up the camera again. But this is the property, the land is frozen, and hunters still have to feed the pigs.

If the right to the land, and winter freezes, the camera starts to natural wild pigs running again, too. But, when the real winter this year, it will start and do not know enough to say.

Are from cam's known boars visiting already feeding ground?

Corresponds boar-cam feeding ground care-taker, Tähtvere's hunting club head Mait Siimson: Pigs go there now very poor.

They have right to eat elsewhere, too. On the other hand near the feeding ground live one of the wolf and the bears are moving on around.

Yes. But last year the cam was on very earlier and they were planning not to say us any thing so soon
