they say we have today last spring so warm day,too and then....maybe we can get snow, too

I heard it about a frost flower already, but these there snow flowers?

We had a lovely morning here but around noon it started to thunder.
We lost the electricity too - I could not even make dinner, we had to eat salad and bread only (which is nit bad of course).
I cannot remember that we have had this much rain in such a short peroid - the farmers that have started sowing will probably have to do it again, all fields flooded .
I am on Juha's laptop now, because I never get my own puter fully started before power goes off again. I tried to take pics of that rain... we shall see later on what became of them.

did you have summer kitchen or outside fireplace?

We have a much simpler system.... but we have a outside BBQ place where you can cook too.....

aaaaaaaaaaaaah,it started to getting colder,if in day sun shined to my thermometer outside sensor,then it showed even 37° C, but now only 22,1°C...

good,i like fireplaces, if your bbq place have some roof,too, then you could even with rain cook the dinner

Yes, it would be cool to have a roof, but toget rid of the smoke we would need some sort of chimney too...... and that is not so easy to do

Yes, you know this smell!!! But it has to be birches!! No other tree gives this fresh smell. Maybe this is one reason why we use these in the sauna???

Soon is the best time to make them !! They should be made BEFORE midsummer and you can either dry or freeze them (if you have a HUGE freezer....) Juha usually makes them for instant use all the summer but he freezes one or two for the Christmas sauna
There are many types of birches, looking ,uch alike but the best "sauna vihta" is made of silver birch (Betula pendula).
