Similar signs (with the same meaning) can be seen here too
But hardly anybody cares about them - most people just ignore them.

Driving slowly is a big help too!
Due to the shock wave of a car the lungs of amphibians "explode" even if the car passes by a metre next to them. For small amphibians (such as newts) a velocity of 30km/h may be fatal. Big amphibians (such as toads or frogs) may survive the shock wave of cars up to a velocity of 80km/h. If cars are faster than that hardly any amphibian survives...

Re: ALLY'S DEN
I assume someone comes and cleans up after them? -- I have never noticed a puddle or poop on the floor, but I have also not seen anyone there but the mother.
Hopefully they will be moved to someplace where they can more easily walk around -- this floor is pretty slippery under their little feet. It looks like they are ready to start exploring!

This is how it happens!
In nature it is important that the nest does not smell while the pups are small.
Actually, at this stage the pups are just about to learn how to pee and poop themselves. They cannot do it earlier.
When mom licks them it stimulates them to pee and poop and she cleans it up immediately.
Same goes for dog puppies.
I remember what a hard job it was when I brought up two puppies that lost their mom right after birth.
Every 2 hours I had to feed them - and as importantly - rub their bellies with damp cotton wool. They would die if you don't help them to pee and poop.

Re: ALLY'S DEN
Dear ALLY, you made me so happy by accepting my dear little Sony!
I could'nt stand the idea that it would lie around somewhere and get
rusty.. I'm so glad you will use it and I hope you will make many
nice pics with it! Please show some of them to us too!
I wish both of you:
You and Sony a long and happy life!
