I don't know if I'm right... but sometimes when I watch the piglets.... It seems to me that they suckle on just any female around??? They know who mom is and they leave with her... but in between they seem to mix quite freely!

yesterday i thought it too,they have there like kindergarten and sometimes piglet run to one mom and then to the other mom and try to lucky to get milk

Yes, especially when being very young piglets tend to take the closest milk. The females don´t really care if their own piglets are suckling or if other piglets are suckling...

The pigs do not quite know what to think about the pile of ???? that has been left for them. Most just turn and run.



Finally some brave customers -- but the group still keeps running from the pile. They only stay a minute.

Despite that, the pigs are a little braver (they ignore the pile) for a while, but as soon as I posted this, they were gone again

5:30 I never did see the stripies, but there are a lot of pictures over on LK from when they were feeding earlier in the evening.

The piglets were too restless to stay long..then it got clear
why


a fox came from the left edge and ran to the hay and was there some minutes, just left of the hayheap..all boars were in the forest.
Then some big boars, 3, came back..you could hear strange sounds from them, like gnashing their teeth ..They really threatened and chased the fox away!
