Funny - that is the squirrel cam they set up!! The owl has a good daytime hide there

Raccoon hanging on the foodbasket..clever and lithe animal;
sometimes you also can see tiny mice beneath the basket in the grass.
Pity that the sight is not so clear, but you cannot have everything!

Some weeks ago I once saw a deer ...but now three together.....

They look lovely!! Is it a mom with 2 kids perhaps??

No idea..cam is not that sharp as boarscamera! And there is no sound, so I did not hear them call: mother!

But they were very friendly to each other! Oh Yes!





Now there are some mice under the foodpole, coming from the corner down right
and picking up some food and run back. They are sooo tiny and fast!

I have no personel experience with WTD but the difference in size makes me sure that these are mom + 2 kids.

They have dens underground and the snow is just an extra insulation

Believe it or not: in one of my previous lifes I was a mouse for 11 months, so I know
about snow and the owls and other predators waiting for the snow to move and a mouse
come out....

That is true of course, the mouse can easily be spotted on white snow....
But such is life of mice........
