Red Deer Cam (Saarema Island)

Could it be the red deer or the pigs who changed the position?
I have three positions in that season:
November 2nd 2015

November 17th 2015 (until the 2nd December)

December 3th, 2015

Antlers? what for?

Not much left under the snow tonight.  Hope the food truck is able to come tomorrow.

I think the car comes everyday. Last night there were no carrots left

They made a refill

The moon is pretty tonight with the clouds drifting past.

Lots of carrots! And the younger doesn't dare to approach

Yesterday (I think), one of them got scared and ran away, maybe it was because of racoon dogs

This can be interesting.
On Tuesday at noon, before taking out the camera they will explain a bit of the "back office" from the cam

yes, they have found there already 12 antlers (but they think some antlers went "left", too) and 2.april 12:00 you maybe can get answer your carrots question

Yes, it is cool that they are taking the time to inform us about the inner workings of the site. However, it is pretty early in the morning over here -- hopefully there will be a summary or transcript on the LK website. (My Estonian is extremely limited. )

It will be interesting to see how the deer react tonight to the new decorations at the feeding ground.

They will have to decide if the carrots are interesting enough

No on my shift only a raccoon dog showed but didn't dare to get close to the food

I am on the other converence today, but i came to caffe to hear deer carrot's converence....and....something i hearded badly , but this was nothing new....hope, they put this  video up later and i can then it's hear better and try to translate, too

The hunting areas usually have their own calendar. And the rut season usually is a good time to choose the nicest males or to make density corrections. Maybe they don't want us to hear the shots.
Someone in the forum noticed that the cam was on and they closed the stream (the last comments are from a week ago)

oh, estonia is so small, we not have different areas calendars and hunting season for red deers til the end of january, i guess, this can not be the reason

But I don't think that red deer are "free hunted". The hunting associations, like this one, decide how much must be killed and, in the case of the males, which ones (normally the losers in the rut fights). So they must be deciding it now. If we see the last seasons, usually the cam starts in the end of the rut season, we still hear their noises but not a lot
