Tomorrow, Wednesday....

...we are getting guests from Sweden
Two young couples will spend 4 days with us. They are son and daughter (+ fiance's) of my dear friend Mona. I think it is cool to have them here and it amazes me that they always want to come We have the play/guest house and the camper ready for them. This way they can get some privacy and do not have to tip toe around in the house in the evenings. I know from before that they stay up much longer than we do
I will try and be active here too, usually I am up a lot earlier than anyone else in the mornings.

What fun that will be for all of you, visitors and hosts!

The weather is the only thing that scares me a bit - they ahve promised tropical heat even during the nights for the rest of the week....

We are in our third day of a week of high heat and humidity and it is brutal. And as you mention, the worst part is that it does not cool during the night for some relief.

But when you are laughing and enjoying friends, the heat is a little easier to endure.

We have a gang of very tired youngsters
They had to be at the airport at 4 am so they didn't even try to get some sleep

I think we will have an early night...........

The reason that I have not been online much is not actually the guests... We have experienced thunder storms that have been like nothing I have seen before
Really scary!! Hours and hours of lightnings and big bangs. And the rain - it has caused mini land slides everywhere. People's driveways have been flushed so that sand and gravel have formed heaps on the roads. It was difficult to drive in some places yesterday.
The heat still goes on despite the thunders. We manage ok inside the house tho, with the AC, as long as we have electricity.

thats strange, that you had thunderstorms and we not, only todays afternoon they promised to us thunderstorms from poland.

We are hoping for reasonable weather tomorrow.... as the Swedish boys have offered to help us get 500 bales of hay up on the stable attick....

Ally, Cooper took your advice about staying under a tree.



His best friend, Augie, shared his pool with Cooper this morning. Augie is 4 months younger and lighter in color. (Ergee, notice the garlic plants in our neighbor's garden!)



This morning it is already 32.7 C (which when paired with the humidity feels like 38.3) and it will be worse as the day progresses. Hopefully it will improve by Monday.

This morning we have clouds - HUGE clouds hanging very low..... And they just warned us on the news that we should be aware of extremely heavy rain showers. 20mm per hour
And now - I hear thunder again - gotta unplug the puters!!! BYE!!!

11 am today..... we wanted to go to the summer market... but we had to wait....
We all sat on the veranda and looked on yet another thunder storm

You are right! Home sweet home. Our 36 C would seem like a spring day at some of these places.

That was my first thought too - the hay can't be handled now!!!!
But it turned out that the hay has been harvested 2 weeks ago and has been inside a "dryer" since that. So at 6 pm, when it wasn't raining, the boys started the loading. 3 trips they made to this hay farm - each with two horse trailers and one normal trailer. Now, at midnight they just came back home.

What a strange morning..... The guests are gone and Juha is back to work..... The house is so quiet.... I will just sit down with my coffee and enjoy the peace
