On the roads it has - yes. But meadows and forests are still snow-covered. The upcoming days (especially the weekend) will be quite cold so quite a lot of the snow will remain for a while. And due to the low temperatures the avalanche danger will decrease a lot...

My favorites are in Zalaistvand, Hungary -- Bornheim, Germany -- and Bad Walsee, Germany where the nest was used the last 2 or 3 years by a gay couple named Sigi and Roy. This year I see that there are eggs, so the boys must have nested elsewhere.

Yes, this website is really detailed. As the nesting progresses, the site will list how many eggs were produced and how many hatched along with the dates as well as with the reason the eggs didn't hatch! The lady who posts this information must have a lot a free time -- but it is really neat that she does this.
