Anna, You have to explain and show pics of the breed, i don't think many of us know what a silkie is.....

lol nornamlly silkies have 5 toes per foot, are feater legged, have a crest, can be beared are non bearded, have black legs and skin, and are purple fleshed though I have never seen that hope I don't either lol and they are fuzzy as adults they look like big cottonballs lol

lol her eyes are not really blue that was because of the flash
giggle and that is not lipstick on her lol she was just barely born that is the birthing fluid on her grin
thanks Bert is a cutie for sure I disbudde him and CottonCandy today, and how I do that is to use a disbuddung iron and burn the horn buds off it is safer for everyone involved to have them removed

lol the farm is not all that big to begin with

It is very possible!! People really do that.
And chickens are not much different from a parrot.
And they bite less
But you need to take them as chicks - so that you get them really tame.
