Amazing actually - this is the same time as for the big eagles that are twice the size . I would have thought some 30 days would have been quite enough...
A domestic hen incubation time is 21 days and even though the chicks are small they are fully cabable of eating themselves....

me seems that animals or birds witch have more intellect, have longer incubating or bear time and this is not so important, how big they are?

Well, Boars are VERY intelligent. But mating season (usually) is from November to January and piglets are born from March to May.

The European deer species need about the double amount of time for that.

But of course that just might be an exception

I was thinking the same - this one looks almost like it has no color!!

At the first pics on page 15 you could see some colours , green etc.
but that faded almost til grey.. such a pity!

Food is brought..colour like a little Robin (sorry!)..but can it be
some kind of fish?? There really are 3 chickens. And not (yet) fighting..

The 3 chickens are feeded..another prey was delivered.
The bird seems to have a ring on each leg..

Now Caysa can compare if this was the bird she saw some time ago!!

We are in the process of moving all the transmission equipment on to the Hobby nest. As with previous years, we are having to be very sensitive as we install the equipment around the nest area. This will probably go live on Saturday 3rd July.
