make roe deers group, because of wolves?

Hi Ally! Maybe, or some more have found out about the food?

Have we ever seen five deer together on camera before?

I think I didn't. You didn't Bisky? Maybe Ergee?

16 th of March 2010 I guess. In the morning about 10.30.

At Boarscam 2, Peep and Sylvie we once could see 15 roedeer.
In winter they are often in larger groups on the fields and in the woods.
Seems to be safer etc.etc. Ricky probably can explain why.
Easier when there is danger..to find food, warmer...what else??
On "our" boarscam we never saw that much, 5 ? I do not remember.
Once we saw a lot of furries..9 ??

Talking about them is seeing them..but where is a partner?
Here is not a well-dressed raccoondog...he wears no collar!

Still alone, loud in the woods, housedog barking and some screams
of boars or other animals.

Pigs came but the image is coming and going...

Yes, in winter Roe Deer often form (big) groups is open country (in the forest there are only small or no groups). The main reason is that it´s safer - many deer will more likely notice a danger than a single one.

Pigs are very "fighty"

This couple does refuse to accept the other buck, even the doe
chases him away!

It appears that the buck finally is getting a chance to eat in peace.

The loner is tolerating the younger pigs.

If they don't bore him too much. The "mama" is not there?

The small family was eating quietly in a group, when in charged the loner and scattered them! It looks like the mamas are getting plump.


Now they are joined by more.

Ct 23.34. This handsome buck is much too close, he almost falls out of
the screen on my table!
