Red Deer Cam (Saarema Island)

Two young males


I left for a few minutes to put some laundry in the washing machine; and when I returned, there is now one with antlers and two without.

When I arrived I only saw these last 3. No one is there now but it seems that there are a lot of red deer in there

Snowing again!

Are they enjoying breakfast, dinner or souper...
how is their dayly plan?

I just also got a glimpse of a yearling stag - I don´t think that individual has been there before?

They don't seem very comfortable tonight -- more looking around than eating.

Are the antlers starting to grow back already on the two bucks in the light?

i hope we could see how quick their antlers will grow

Yes.  
In 4 months the antlers will have reached their full size again.

Thank you, Ricky. I had no idea they grew back so quickly. Like Ally, I will be watching for the growth.

Early visitors

There were 4 very agressive young males. Well, one of them is not so young but younger than the "bald" ones.






Then Mr Magnificent? arrived and they left very respectfully


The older from the younger ones dared to return

Another young male arrived. Maybe the "usual" one as he dares to approach more Mr. Magnificent

This one is also nice!

It looks like I missed a lot of action -- thanks for all the pictures.

Not very much food left -- I hope this isn't the end of deer watching.

our weather will warming and...deers will be get real food on the forests..
but i don't know, will they carry here more food or not...

The hay will go all tonight
And these 2 are fighting for the last part of it

I made a video that I still need to upload to YouTube and post here. But it's going to take me a little while to get to it right now.

Maybe they have finally quit and are friends again.  I'll check again later after we eat our dinner.

An hour later, one of the fighters is still eating with one of the bald bucks behind him.

Uh oh, looks like the bickering is still going on in the background. Must be about something else than hay.

This one's antlers are really growing out quickly!  Not just little bumps anymore.

 

It looks like the older guys intend to finish off the hay.



It will be fun to see what is left when it becomes light again.   

this is very nice of this antlers raising guy to do it so quick, before the cam will be offline  

and this deers arguing video so interesting to see, that they not doing it with wrath...just with little power..

seems here is hay for some night left

More carrots! Looks like they will return to feed for a few more nights.
