Re: The Storm Dagmar....
Thank you, thank you!!
We still seem to get short power cuts - probably when the electricians connect more houses....
Anna and Timo still have no power And they have 2 small children + 5 big horses to water....
They carry the water for the animals from a shallow spring in the field but that water isn't suitable for people to drink. We have been taking water there daily. We have a very good ground water spring only about 1 km from here, it is so powerful that you only need to hold your bucket and the water comes from a "hose" and fills the bucket in no time at all.
We tried to find a generator but nope, all sold! Not one to be found in all Finland, I think. But this is definately something that we need to get.

I am here
All is well in our house!
Anna and Timo are still withouy power so we are soon taking fresh water to them. I have also invited them for dinner later on today. Cooking is quite tiresome without electricity.....

Re: The Storm Dagmar....
In Belgium we also had real heavy stormy days and nights, even with thunder and lightning. On 3.01.2012 one of the 5 stems of this tree broke...
I called the gardener and he came to remove the broken stem and branches. He brought his dog with him.
While he was working the dog came to see Genna who
was in the room, door closed! Barking and yelling Genna!
The other dog than tried to hide behind the stone thing with the violets and then....
put his droppings in the grass!
And after that he looked almost proud at us, to see if we noticed his masterwork!
His boss removed those things on the field behind the fence...
Animals...after boss and dog were gone, Genna controlled the whole garden, again and again, endlessly!
