plm 00.18

Tonight the boars are very nervous...coming and leaving...almost half an hour they were hesitating ...What is different, the branches on the table, the stormy wind now and then, or is there someone in the hide?? And still they are sniffing and examening the air...ready to
escape..

What happens?

One big boar with a very low bass voice produces frightening warning sounds...

Why do they do that? One after the other they lie down on the
same spot for a while...

As Ergee mentioned earlier, the pigs are still acting very strangely. They are making strange sounds --almost like heavy breathing. They are only staying along the edge, and didn't stay long.

Only one raccoon dog stopped by that I saw; and it, too, did not stay long. There is still uneaten bread on the ground.

There will be several really tired dogs today -- they barked for hours in the distance.

I just see that Bisky is watching the same things as I do..... Is there really someone at the hide perhaps??

A smaller group of pigs came to the feeding ground - but they seem very shy. They stayed in the outskirts and seemed to watch the cam.
Then they left the view but I can hear them very close.

What has happend to the light?? Has it turned a bit? Or can it really be only moisture on the lens???

One lonely furry turned up - it was also very cautious..... Sniffing around in the air. It did not stay for long. A fox was barking in the background.

Just before 7 am a very wary pig is lurking around. For a long time I heard only the sniffing and snorting but then I saw it in the background...

Or... maybe it is the same one from last winter.... that was fine otherwise, only the tail did not have fur. I have seen a couple of those here over the years, seems that the mites can damage the thin tail skin so much that even if the fur grows back in other spots the tail remains hairless. But who knows.....

To me it seems that the head and the neck are the only hairy parts of its body. Hence I doubt that it will survive - if not the disease itself kills it cold weather will Rolling Eyes

The "sad tail" furry is back - it doesn't look bad at all if you don't see the tail.....

It is really hard to say - the light and the shadows play tricks....
When it came to the feeding ground it took a while before the tail came in cam view and I was not sure at all who this furry was.
