ESTONIAN BS/LSE NEST 2011
A stork has landed! A stork has landed!
mms://tv.eenet.ee/tooni
The cam was just started up on Monday evening, and already a stork!
(It must have been waiting for Urmas to leave the tree. )
Olga on LK posted this picture -- the speculation over there is that it is Padis.
Now I will have to stay up late to see the morning light in the forrest to see if our visitor stayed all night. Maybe even hear a cuckoo like Ricky has already!

Re: ESTONIAN BS/LSE NEST 2011
I was totally surprised. Somehow I didn't think that they were going to set up this camera this year.
He was gone for a while, probably searching for breakfast, but he has returned and is calling, calling, calling. I certainly hope some cute little female will hear and join him.
It must certainly be Padis -- his shiny head is distinctive. His feathers look so healthy this year. He must have had a good winter vacation.
This is his sexy, over the shoulder pose
Time for bed. Good night!

He is back, even got him on video!!
The cam is somehow in an odd position.... too close to the nest??
Look in the end of the video, when he is laying down he is almost invisible...

Once again I cannot see him in the dark, but he seems to be busy moving things around in the nest. It almost sounds like he is digging into it with his beak.

Re: ESTONIAN BS/LSE NEST 2011
I hope that they will nest..... but who knows....
BS will probably not start fighting with LSE.... Maybe Padis already knows that they have been in the nest????
I wish the view was better so we could see the feet, I think last year LSE couple had some rings...

Re: ESTONIAN BS/LSE NEST 2011
Now I am sure that (the female?) LSE is spending the night in the nest. This pic is from around 8.30 pm
and this one maybe 40 minutes later
The other LSE cams have birds visiting at times but I get the feeling that it is much like last year....
