Re: ESTONIAN WILD PIG CAM 2010 -2011
At about ct 15.55 a roe deer was at the feedingground. Footsteps came and
the animal went to the left in the forest.
Cam stopped some minutes and started again. Food was brought..
Between the first and second delivery the roe deer was back, impatient and
probably hungry; and went the same way to the left as Mait came back with still 2 buckets of food.
Still more bread and than the work was done..raven informed the other
birds that dinner was served...

Concerning: not existing species....
Can you prove that (lol)...some will not know what happened..they could be left for another and search another partner (too).
But to put the cage there, where these sounds can not be transmitted
to us, would be a good idea anyhow!
For me it means no pleasure but stomachaches to hear this and turning off the sound is missing other sounds like foxes or owls aso too...
Poor frightened and desperate animal!
For me this is too much..good night!
To put trap some other place, there is 90% less possibility to get raccoons in it.
So far there are trapped only raccoons with mange (7 if i am correct)
Take it so, next summer there is more possibility to get healty raccoon cubs. Otherwise they get sickness from mom from day they born.
The reason, i dont make any comments anymore in LK forums, there is way too much ppl crying - omg i cant see it, it eats his kids, omg hunters are shooting, they killing everyone - sick of it.
Please dont start it here too :S
Thanks okaskera for a good explanation - it is really important that we can see healthy cubs.
And you and Mait know where is the best place for the trap. There is always a possibility to mute the sound if someone does not want to hear what is happening in the trap. We must understand that taking care of the wildlife is not always pleasant but it has to be done. No one is killing just for the sake of killing...
I hope that we still can get info of what is happening "behind the scene" - I find it quite interesting and it teaches us a lot.

Good morning Ally, The boars were there in the evening but not for a long time.
They were eating in the front rows not closer to the cam. A beginning from
the cage-sounds can have made them nervous and they ran into the forest, came back but did not stay long. There were no other sounds, no dogs or people, no screaming, nothing.
Nobody brought new food as far as I know, look how the pattern is, the same as Mait made.
A furry came and could eat very quietly.. sometimes you could hear the cage-sounds very loud.
After the last pic. ct. 00.16, furrys were fighting but out of sight of the camera.
More I did not see, all was quiet.

I thought this was the case - because I remember that the ground was emptier before I went to bed. Thanks for bringing more food

Hello Okaskera, now the riddle is solved! Thanks.. at that time I was not
yet at the cam, came later and there were no boars ...
It was quiet. A good thing that there seems to be enough food to bring
every day so much! And the roe deer must be rather hungry, coming in the daytime and Mait being rather close!
