Re: Deer cam's
Yes Ophi, the deer in the picture is a ten point white tailed deer... as far as a trophy, he is a good buck, but any deer with bow and arrow is a trophy!

Re: Deer cam's
Ten point! This is the exact expression! I am not the expert of the American deer, I know it so a ten point buck already beautiful trophy! Congratulations! Do you hunt with a bow only? You can show a picture from your bow?norsky wrote:Yes Ophi, the deer in the picture is a ten point white tailed deer... as far as a trophy, he is a good buck, but any deer with bow and arrow is a trophy!

The last couple of night's I've been checking on this cam and there has been 5 or so young buck's coming in to feed, one of them has a pretty good set of antler's for a young guy.... he'll be a dandy next year!
I'll grab you some picture's, if I can figure out how...lol

Re: Deer cam's
if your cam is open, you may use prnt sc key from your keyboard and then paste pic to paint program or photoshop or ect and saved this pic as jpg file then you need photohosting site like www.photobucket.com, download your pic there and then if it is in album, just go to mouse to it and then you can see codes, take IMG Code copy and paste this here and voilaa,we can see your pic here

Nope. It looks as if the right deer had antlers but that are these iron bars around the feeder.
Another pic of these 2 deer
Does anyone know when White-tailed Deer bucks loose their antlers? Or is there no certain time of the year (as it is with Muntjacs for instance)?

Re: Deer cam's
Good afternoon Ricky,
Wikipedia says: white tailed deer bucks lose their antlers between january and march.
New antlers start growing in April and May, in late summer it will be "ready" and maybe about 80 cm tall...
I hope this is a correct explanation..

Thanks, Ergee! Also thanks for the other link you sent me where is written that they shed their antlers in January and February.
So you can say antlers are shed in late winter...

Re: Deer cam's
In this forum you don't need to use photobucket to post pics:AllyKass wrote:if your cam is open, you may use prnt sc key from your keyboard and then paste pic to paint program or photoshop or ect and saved this pic as jpg file then you need photohosting site like www.photobucket.com, download your pic there and then if it is in album, just go to mouse to it and then you can see codes, take IMG Code copy and paste this here and voilaa,we can see your pic here
If you click on the sign with a pic and a floppy disk, you can upload the image from your computer (choose 640 definition) and then copy the last link that appears. Afterwards you click on the sign with a pic (it's the next one) and put that link in the pop up that appears and that's all
It's much more easier then in Lk that´s one of the reasons I like here more
