8:00 in the morning, Estonian, which would be 6:00 by you? Much too early for you to get up!

Maybe

The problem with compact cameras is that they shoot some seconds after you. But if you can't you can made video clips?

It was all that wine!

(Actually, I edited the post before you responded.) Thanks for the answer! What camera do you use? Yes, my camera can make videos, but I haven't gotten that far along in experience yet.

I made the pics with a EOS400. It's a digital reflex.

But I was reading the Panasonic details and I think that you have a sort of "manual" mode. You must be able to choose ISO (it has to be 1600 to photograph at night), to turn off the flash and put a lower speed: maybe something around 100 or 160 is Ok for fireworks (even if it's a bit too slow you can have interesting effects)

The videos I made are from another cam: a Canon Ixus 850. It's a small compact camera (lower than yours)

Okay, I see it now -- it's on the second page of the scene mode!
Great Thank you for finding that for me.

Sadly, we are too far out from the city to try it out tonight We can hear the noise of the fireworks, but cannot see them from home.

Yes, but I only saw the pic. Not life. I usually only have pig cam 1 on, because on pig cam 2 they are very noisy.
