Juha can never wait when he gets pigeons - he wants the fillets fried on a hot pan NOW Laughing , so I have never made pigeon soup. All other sort of soups I have made - I'll have to suggest this next time.

Why does this cam not work for me?
The link on the 1st page of this thread just leads me to a pic of a Roe deer. And that´s it - nothing to click and get the cam running... Rolling Eyes

Ricky, for you as an expert in roe deer and other animals, this question...

What is the matter with this roe buck??? Is there in his family, forefathers...
maybe an unicorn?? Wink

Or can this abnormality (it is??) caused by an inside injurie of his sexual reproduction - organs??

Caysa, what does Juha say??

(it almost looks like an implant....).

Roe deer antlers avery soft while they grow, they damage easily, much easier than redd deer antlers. If this buck has, at some point injured the growth spot it might never grow again. I don't think that any reproduction organ / hormone injury would stop only one antler from growing.

Yes, either it is an injury (of the bone below the antlers) or a hereditary defect...

Yes, I have seen 2 "unicorns".
One of them was in my HA in 2006. But I am not sure if this was a real "unicorn" - one horn might have broken off or been tiny so that I didn´t see it. This buck was a bit too clever, though - he left before I could shoot and never showed up again Laughing

The other one I saw last summer - obviosly a real "unicorn"
