The other tiny and very fast animals have no fear...
What are they called??
Ergee, which webcam has this mystery animal? I cannot find the cam that shows a table I need to get my sites better organized!
Oh..sorry, now you see what this "paint" failure does to me...the mystery is on the
deer trail...so sorry!

Ergee, from your pictures posted above, the critter appears to be a chipmonk:

(By the way, I did not see the possum return last night.)

That "something", in the far right corner of the feeding table, I don't think it is an animal. It is something "not alive".
There is a video there on the cam site that shows a deer coming up to the feeder on Oct. 31st.... That thing was there already and it did not move or react to the deer.....

Re: Deer Trail Cam from Minnesota
Dr. Ophi made it possible! In a long-distance-consult the doctor explained how to
cure "paint" (and me..): so here is the first screen shot after the recovery...thanks to Dr.O.
More and more deer come to feedingplace..
and here you can see there is no strange animal sleeping on the table.
A piece of the edge is missing and so you see the background...
Caysa was right...here no locked-out animal has to spend the night in the open!

That tiny fast animal, without stripes on his "hips" sides, I think Ophy is right...he has a very interesting family....Ophiophagus wrote:Flying squirrel.Bisky wrote:Ergee, from your pictures posted above, the critter appears to be a chipmonk:

Maybe, but here is evidence that it might be a chipmonk. They make mention of Chipper having no tail, but it looks like there is small tail in the pictures.

I'm just not sure if chipmonks come out at night like the flying squirrel.

Here is the address to the cam that shows the table - if someone would see THAT animal again.

I should know by now not to question Ophy's knowledge!

Re: Deer Trail Cam from Minnesota
From its size, I would say that it is a pileated woodpecker. (I hope that I'm not wrong about this one, too! ) I have only seen one of these, and he was spectacular--very large.
