Ok, I have come across this and I am writing as Admin and not Deb, (Mr. Oph, no running off and hiding now! :p ). I think what has taken place here is a huge miscommunication. When we have so many different cultures coming together, trying to speak all in the same tongue, things can be easily misunderstood.

What I got from reading all of the above (from the "Where is Ophy" thread), was that Ally only wanted to make the point that what one person believes is better, another person may not. She only wanted Ricky to say it was his personal preference. I don't think Ricky is so bold as to say that he thinks anyone who watches tv isn't 'good'.

I don't post a lot on here. A large portion of that reason, is the language differences. I don't want anyone to take my joking and teasing the wrong way...ever. I am a super soft soul that would rather be tortured myself rather than consciously hurt someone.

I think because of the beautifully diverse 'family' that we have here, this may have gone sour just because of miscommunications. We are so blessed to have so many different view points on this forum. I wouldn't wish for anyone to ever feel hurt or upset by another member.

I will ask Ally to come back and be happy again. I will ask Ricky to also be happy again. I think we have learned a valuable lesson here. While 'we' may know what we are thinking, the other person may not be able to understand our meaning. Add to it a language that is not our own and presto, we have problems. I think it best that one always respectfully question the other, to make their statements clear and specific, so that feelings are not hurt unnecessarily.

We all need to go slow, ask questions, and respect that we are an incredible 'human' FAMILY. That means mistakes will be made. Misunderstandings will take place. But there is a bond deeper than those things that might hurt us......it's made up of friendship, love, and respect.

All that started with a huge missunderstanding. I didn´t know that Ally had missunderstood me. And Ally didn´t know that she had missunderstood me. And then everything started...
